NOW Kenya is a women-led national movement dedicated to empowering women across Kenya through unity, opportunity, and collective action.
Founded in September 2025, the organization was created to bring women together — to support one another, build economic strength, and speak with one unified voice.
NOW Kenya is built on the belief that real change happens when women come together.
We are creating a national network of women who are connected, empowered, and committed to lifting each other up.
Through this movement, women are not only supported — they are strengthened, united, and positioned for leadership.
A Kenya where every woman thrives economically, socially, and politically.
To empower women through programs, advocacy, and a unified movement that promotes equality, dignity, and opportunity.

But this understanding is not only professional—it is deeply personal. In 1999, I lost both my parents to HIV/AIDS. As a 15-year-old girl, the firstborn in my family, I was suddenly faced with the responsibility of raising my three siblings on my own. At a young age, I stepped into a role that many women and girls across our country know too well — carrying the weight of survival, sacrifice, and responsibility without support. That experience shaped who I am today. It gave me a firsthand understanding of the resilience of women but also the urgent need for stronger systems of support, opportunity, and collective power. NOW Kenya was born from this reality.
It is a platform designed to bring women together — to support one another, to grow together, and to speak with one unified voice. Because when women are connected, empowered, and organized, they become a force capable of transforming not only their own lives but entire communities and nations. This is more than a movement. This is a network built on lived experience, resilience, and the belief that no woman should have to carry her burden alone.
Choosing a Different Future
Esther became a mother at a young age. With little support and limited opportunities, she struggled to provide for her child. Each day was uncertain, and her dreams felt further away. She had begun to believe that her future was already decided.
Through NOW Kenya, Esther was introduced to a training program that gave her practical skills and a new perspective.
She learned, she connected, and she began to believe in herself again. With support, she started a small grocery shop that now provides her with a steady income.
Today, Esther is no longer just surviving — she is building a future for herself and her child.
